Parliament Museum

On the day of our Parliament visit we first went to the Parliament museum. It basically deals with the history of formation of our Constitution. Parliament Museum was inaugurated by Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam, then President of India on 14th August, 2006 and was opened for public on 5th September, 2006. It is an interactive story-telling museum on Democratic Heritage of India spanning 2500 years of democracy. The story is woven with the help of walk-through period settings with sound-light-video animation, large-screen interactive computer multi-media, immersive visualization with multi-screen panoramic projection, virtual reality and animatronics. It also has rare collection of gifts from foreign delegates to the Speaker of LokSabha. There is no entry fee for students but for general public the fee is very nominal at INR 10. It was a very interesting tour where wealso got to know the story of the Indian Independence and Indian Constitution in a whole new way
